Blackouts Don't Stop ShawneeTV!
After yesterday's power outage, we were not able to run a full length show. However we were able to cover a few things. David Thomas awkwardly asks a bunch of girls to homecoming and Ali Reid shows us some more sneaky dancing. Also, we had a surprise visit from Shawnee Alumni, Lauren Mathis and Melissa Storm, who also hosted the show.

Shawnee High School Mock Presidential Debate 2012
Youth 4 Truth sponsored a Mock Presidential Debate as an assembly at Shawnee High School.

The Shawnee TV Crew produced the event and simulcasted live.

This was the first political debate in Shawnee history, and Y4T put the event together soon after the organization was established.

The debate was based off of a town hall format where history students were selected to ask questions they formulated through collaboration in class. Students were also selected to create responses while portraying the candidates.

On this special Halloween edition of the Renegade Morning Show, Jackson becomes a stomach monster, we revisit Dig Pink, then check out Safe Trick-Or-Treat. Colin White gets tricked in "Trick or Treat Trickery" and we close the show with an RMS Pumpkin Carving stop motionby Eileen Kenny and Sam Mitchell's words of wisdom.

This week, we had freshman Kelsey Haines and Justin Boswick on the set while the seniors were in the control room. Conner, Brody and Zach start us off with another episode of This is Shawnee TV. Next, We have a recap of the student faculty basketball game. To end the show, Shawnee students asked us who they want to win the presidential election.

Along with School Violence Awareness week, FCCLA is celebrating Character Counts Week. Character Counts Week is a program that is endorsed by the NJ State and National Family Career and Community Leaders of America. We are encouraging the 6 pillars of Character: Citizenship, Fairness, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.

Character Counts Week, Maker Faire, and BMX
This week in Shawnee was Character Counts Week where RMS highlighted traits all students should have. Also this week Tovly Deutsch took a trip to the New York City Maker Faire and took a camera along with him! Austin Beatty showed off some awesome BMX tricks which was produced by Allie Reid, and Connor Heine got caught using a Performance Enhancing Thesaurus...
